In regards to the gold color, has this been corrected to more resemble the iPhone xs gold color? Or is it still more on the rose gold color?

No, it is not as dark as the new gold on the Xs. However I have it on mine and it looks fantastic. Since it is a bumper it hides the darker gold around the edge anyway, and it matches with the pale sort of pink color on the back of the phone really nicely.
